Google Maps SEO for Trades Businesses
When someone searches "plumber near me", Google shows three businesses on a map before anything else. We set up and run your Google Business Profile so you're in the running for those spots in the suburbs you work in.
How Google Picks the Top 3
Google says its local results come down to three things. Two of them we can work on; the third is where your customers are standing.
Relevance
How well your profile matches the search. The right primary category, your services and your suburbs, written properly.
Prominence
How established and trusted your business looks. Recent reviews, photos of real jobs, consistent details across the web.
Distance
How close you are to the person searching. Nobody can fake this, which is why results change from suburb to suburb.

What We Won't Do
Some Maps tricks work for a few weeks and then get your listing suspended. We don't use them.
- No keyword-stuffed business names. "Joe's Plumbing – Best Plumber Melbourne" breaks Google's rules.
- No fake or bought reviews. Every review comes from a real customer.
- No virtual offices or fake addresses. They're the fastest way to lose a listing.
- No guarantees we can't keep. Nobody controls the top 3 for every search, so we show you the real numbers instead.
Where Do You Show Up Right Now?

Google Maps SEO Questions
Straight answers about getting your trade business into the map results
How long until I show up in the Google Maps top 3?
It depends on your trade, how close the searcher is and how strong the businesses around you are. Fixes like choosing the right category can show up within a few weeks, while reviews and authority build over months. Your monthly grid report shows exactly where you stand, so you can see the movement yourself.
Can you guarantee a top 3 spot?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google shows different results depending on where the person searching is standing, so nobody controls who appears in the top 3 for every search. What we can do is fix everything that holds your profile back and keep it active every month.
Do I need a shopfront address?
No. Google lets service-area businesses hide their address and show the suburbs they cover instead. You do need a real address for verification. Never use a virtual office or PO box, because Google can suspend the listing.
Do I need a website?
Not to have a Google Business Profile, but it helps. Your profile links to your website, and Google uses it to understand what you do and where you work. If we build your website, we can add suburb pages that support your map ranking.
I already have a Google Business Profile. Can you still help?
Yes. Most tradies already have one that was set up years ago and never touched. We're added as a manager, you stay the owner, and we fix what's holding it back before running it each month.
How is this different from your SEO packages?
Our SEO packages cover your whole website as well as your Google Business Profile. The Google Maps package focuses only on the map results, which is where most local calls come from, at a lower monthly price.
